Cuti-cuti Malaysia Johor Bahru And SingaporeVisit Kuala Lumpur http://klsentral.orgLaura asks…Johor Bahru Immigration, where to reboard the bus if u came fromSingapore? After crossing causeway and clearing M’sia custom, where do I reboard the bus? I need to goLarkin and end up cannot find my bus, took a cab.The bus is supposed to wait at the other side of the custom, but all I see is the underpass, nobus-stops.Kaki Cuti Cuti Malaysia answers:The buses often leave before you get through immigration. We went through this bordercrossing and took about one and a half hours to go through the foreigners lane at immigration-the Malaysians and Singaporeans went through within minutes and our bus left without us –other foreigners on the bus found another bus by the same company and it let us all hop on atno charge to take us the rest of the way. 1/6

And could you recommend the most economic accommodation in Singapore? Thanks.Kaki Cuti Cuti Malaysia answers:After clearing johor bahru custom, just follow the sign that will lead you to take public transportto singapore (eg to kranji or to jurong east), you cant get lost. If you take the bus to kranji, willlead you straight to Kranji MRT station. From there, you just take the mrt to lead you where youwant to go in Singapore. Most cheapest and easy rideDonald asks… 2/6

  4. 4. I’m living in Singapore and thinking of moving to Johor bahru?I hear such terrible things from Singaporeans about Johor, but some Malaysia who live theresay its not that bad. What is the real story. I’m American so a little crime doesn’t bother me tomuch but I have two small kids and a wife to worry about. Singapore is EXPENSIVE!! and itskilling me slowly. I need to move somewhere cheaper but close to Singapore as my wife is aSingaporean. I don’t want to take her to far from her family because they’re really close. So….how bad is Johor Bahru????Kaki Cuti Cuti Malaysia answers:Singapore is EXPENSIVE depending how you live…A 2+1 HDB flat rental will cost around/min SGD1.3k (depending on area)Local dinner at local coffee shop for a family of 4 will cost around SGD12 to SGD15Electricity and water cost around SGD200 a monthTransportation is good as long you have good money… T.TMinimum spending is around 4k per month for normal local familyOption 01:Considering JBYour wife a Singaporean, It be over her dead body if you wanna get her to live in JB.Transportation is always good in JB as long as you have a car.Food are cheap and nice, sometimes too nice, you will spend more than in SGOption 02:Ask you wife to get a JOB and have her FAMILY look after your children.Singapore girl always think that they don’t need to work as long as they married an Caucasian. With 2 income per family and minimal your spending, at least you will die slower…try to get usedto local life style and act like an local “Uncle”…you’ll surviveCrime rate in SG are no better than JB. They just go “unreported” in the news…and laterselected few to be documented in “Crime Watch” and broad cast on CH5. Singaporean alwayssay JB danger cannot go la…but every weekend Singapore cars jammed the Causeway.Singapore “Auntie”s flocked the checkpoints and bazaars and Singapore guys sleep in JBhotels.P.s RM240k is lesser than SGD100k. You can easily buy a nice Bungalow or 2 condo near JBwith the price of a 3 room flat. Single storey terrace house around Gelang Patah cost around 4/6
  5. 5. RM90k – RM110k. JB house are cheap even if you compare it within the State of Johor itself.Lizzie asks…Any regular traveller to Malaysia from Singapore?I was wondering can i use my Singapore nokia handphone charger in Malaysia hotel directly?(penang especially). Is the voltage and power same?If not, what do i need and can i get from hotel. Thanks!BTW do u know the coach price from Penang to Singapore or Johor Bahru. :=)Kaki Cuti Cuti Malaysia answers:The voltage is the same, and the plug points are identical as well.I believe there is a very comfortable coach service operated by Plusliner (www.plusliner.com)direct from Penang island into Singapore and I believe the price is below RM 150.The website I gave you above would have the coach fare and the coach schedule as well. 5/6
