The coyote:
The coyote is a adaptable supreme predator, That can
and will survive in any environment.
They have a long history that extends millions of years.
They have just adapted and dominated putting them on
the least concerned list. That being said they are
                extremely far from extinction.

Quote 1

                     • “Coyotes make their dens in rocky crevices, logs, caves or the dens of
other animals. They usually don't dig their own den. They will find an
abandoned den of a badger or a fox and enlarge it. “ ( Durham 2012)

                     • This quote describes the type of homes that the coyote commonly
                         lives in.

Quote 2

                     • “Coyotes are biologically able to reproduce with domestic dogs,
although because of several barriers, they rarely do. For instance,
both male and female coyotes are fertile for only a short time during
the year. Also, young coydogs rarely survive because male domestic
dogs that breed with female coyotes do not remain with her to assist
with parental care. The offspring of a coyote/domestic dog mating are
often infertile.” ( Connecticiut department of energy and environmental
                         protection 2009)

                     • This quote describes the breeding habits and behavior, and some
                         behavior of the coyote.

Quote 3

                     • “ The coyote population spread throughout Massachusetts because
they are well-adapted to changes in the landscape and they can now
be found within rural, suburban, and urban areas.” (Massachusetts
Division of fish and wildlife 2010)

                     • This quote is showing how the coyote adapts to any environment,
making them a well rounded predator.

Reflection:

                     • I think this was a very good project, being
that we got the choice to learn. Being you
gave us many choices, it made doing the
project very easy and fun. I got to do what I
wanted to do. So for me, it was not even
                         really an assignment.

Conclusion:

     • In conclusion, the coyote is a supreme
predator despite its smaller size. They are
able to adapt, and reproduce with the
             domestic dog. There reproduction allows
             them to be the ultimate.
