How to Repair Your Car Stereo? by qualir - date:2011-11-08 How to Repair Your Car Stereo? 2011-07-07 08:24:54 By qualir If you experienced some problems with getting your automotive car speakers to work, I think I could give you some advice. The following description is about how to diagnose the problem of silent speakers. And I could also give some tips on how to fix them. If you are not familiar with car stereo repair, it could be ok, this can still help you. If it couldn’t help you, you could contact a dealer or ask some vehicle stereo to get it repaired. The steps are: Check the speakers to see whether they are connected well. Check the cables first to see they are connected well or not. Fasten the speakers connectors Try to replace the broken butt connector. After you done this if your speakers are still not working, you could test the auto speakers that don’t work directly: Detach each speaker which doesn’t work on the car. Use 9v a battery and connect its leads to each auto speaker to be tasted for short moment If the speakers have movement and you hear the sound usually known as a “pop” or thump, then your speaker will probably be able to make sound and it is likely to work. You need to note which way the speaker are moving, whether in or out of its frame during the test. Then you could also determine your auto speakers polarity when connecting them up to the amplifier up in the front. When the cone of the speaker moves out from the basket, the lead visiting the positive from the battery may be the positive lead from the speaker. Whether it gets into the opposite direction, the lead hooked towards the negative from the battery is positive of one’s auto speaker. There are two possible results for the speaker test: the speaker is not able to make sound or it is. If the speaker is not able to make sound, your speaker are dead and you need to replace it. If the speaker is able to make sound, you need to sun new speaker wires and rewire, perform the “popper” test to get the polarity correct as described above. After you do that, if the problems still exist, then it could be the following reason: Deck problems or the connection with the deck. If it is, you need to contact the vehicle stereo repair shop or ask someone to help you. Original article page link: page 1 / 1Powered by TCPDF (
