    • Life of the matses
      • The matses live in Peru and Brazil.
      • They worship jaguars.
      • The men use a lot of body paint, the girls use body paint and jab whiskers.
    • Interactions with outsiders
      • They have a war with the Modzeis and the Mavonansas.
      • They need to get permission to go into the tribe.
      • They were bombed by the Peruvian Air Force
    • What Factors Are causing their decline.
      • Lack of med's
      • Lack of health professionals
      • Few transports to move the med’s
      • Being bombed
      • 10% die every year
    • The Matses
      • The Matses developed in Peru and Brazil
      • They started near or on the Amazon river
      • There population doubled in size from 1500 to 3000 approximate.
      • The Matses speak mainly Spanish and Portuguese.
    • Problem
      • The problems are.
      • The Peruvian government bombed the Matses because they wanted the oil on there lands.
    • Problem continued
      • The matses also have a hard time getting med’s from village to village.
      • Peruvians are preventing the Matses from getting medical help.

      • The drugs that they take don’t work with there immune system.
      • They also have hepatitis and malaria.
      • There is no medical professionals in the 17 comminutes with over 2,000 natives.
    • Solution
      • Our solution is to send medical supplies and medical workers, to slow death rate and help the matses thrive.
