  2. 2. The Coursework Burger: Analysis of an existing media text (eg: an actual film trailer) Your media text (eg: your film trailer) Evaluation/ commentary on your media text.

This Period: <ul><li>You are going to produce the top layer – the top of the burger bap </li></ul><ul><li>You have nearly got the filling ready! </li></ul><ul><li>But a chunk of your marks will come from your burger bread – ie: the analysis of an existing movie trailer and evaluation of your own work </li></ul><ul><li>Let’s watch 3 trailers first… </li></ul>

Analysis: <ul><li>Discuss the audience for the film trailer – who is likely to watch and enjoy it, and then see the film? </li></ul><ul><li>Discuss and analyse the film language used, ie: the camera shots, movement, sound, transitions, title cards, special efects, animation, etc… What is the EFFECT? </li></ul><ul><li>Explain how any people, places or events are represented (check your books for help) </li></ul><ul><li>Institutions: what companies make/ distribute the film? Who makes film trailers? See my help sheet for this section </li></ul><ul><li>Approximately 150-200 words </li></ul>LOOK BACK AT THE NOTES IN YOUR BOOK FROM SEPTEMBER/ OCTOBER!
