  • 1. How do I learn?
7th graders investigate their learning styles
Part 2: The CITE Learning Styles Inventory
  • 2. What do the scores mean
    33-40 Major Learning Style
This is how you prefer to learn; how you learn best
    20-32 Minor Learning Style
This style works for you but is not your preference
5-20 Not how you learn at all
This way of learning does not work well for you at all
  • 3. Visual Learning
Means you learn through seeing information
Visual Language speaks to seeing written words as opposed to hearing them. If seeing helps you process and remember then you are likely a visual language learner.
Visual Numerical learning means that you understand numbers, formulas, equations, etc…better when you see them.
  • 4. Auditory Learning
If you are an auditory language learner that means that you process and remember words, concepts, ideas, etc…better when you hear them (ie: audible books, read aloud)
What does it mean to be an auditory numerical learner?
  • 5. Walk me through
    Social-Individual vs. Social-Group learning
What does that mean with regard to studying for tests, exams, etc…..
    Oral expression vs. written expression
    Kinesthetic-Tactile
    Which many of us are!!!
  • 6. Final questions
    Did your answers surprise you?
How will this information help you be a successful 7th grader?
Why would it be important for you to tell a teacher how you learn best?
