  • Click “Get Skype”
  • Click “Get Skype for Windows”
  • Click “download now”
  • Click “save file”
  • Scrolling down the web page gives some help as to what to do.
  • Click “run”
  • Click “options”
  • Untick these options then click “I agree - install”
  • Click 'start skype”
  • Enter your details
  • Click “i agree – create account”
  • Click on “echo / sound test service”
  • Click on the green “call” near the middle of the screen
  • Type a name and click “search directory” to search
  • You may need to enter a username directly. Click on “add contact”
  • Write a message for them
  • Click on “call” to call them
  • Click on “video call” instead of “call” gives this
  • If they call you this window appears
  • To exit right click on the skype icon (green with a tick) and then left click on “quit”
  • Click “quit”
