• The most biologically important thing to remember about Phospholipids are when they are bilayered. Such as in ALL CELLS in our body this creates a water barrier inside the cell membrane. With out these our cell membranes wouldn't be as effective.

The Baby Days Of Phospholipid

 1. 1. The Baby Days of Phospholipid Birthday: December 14, 2009! Created by: Jackie and Sawyer
 2. 2.

Family

Baby Boy Phospholoipid was brought into the Hydrocarbon family on December 14, 2009!

 3. 3. Family Continued…

Other Members of the Hydrocarbon family include:

 4. 4. About Baby Phospholipid

Baby phospholipid has many qualities. He is very laid back, but knows how to be serious when he has to be. He is also very indecisive, part of him likes taking baths and part of him hates it. There are many elements that make him who he is: carbon, hydrogen, nitrogen, oxygen, and phosphorous.

 5. 5. Physical Features

Baby phospholipid is a cute little guy, but just like any other baby, he wouldn’t be able to function without all of his body parts. He is physically made up of two fatty acids, a glycerol, a phosphate group, and choline .

Fatty acid Glycerol
 6. 6. General Family Talents

The main talent of the hydrocarbon family is to obtain and store energy they are among the greatest energy resources .

Energy!
 7. 7. Baby Phospholipid’s Talents

Some functions that baby phospholoipid is good at are:

1. He and his phospholipid friends act as building blocks of the biological cell membranes in virtually all organisms

2. He acts as an efficient store of energy as with his triglyceride friends

3. He has an important role in the transport of fat between the gut and liver in digestion

4 . He helps control the passage of materials into and out of the cell

 8. 8. Why We Are Good Parents

We are good parents to baby phospholipid for many different reasons. First, we are good parents because we give him a nice, cozy home him in our cell membranes. Second, we give him freedom, allowing him to control the passage of materials into and out of our cells. Lastly, we are good parents because we take extra energy that he stores and he makes us feel energetic so we can play with him.
