  • * The term Grid has been chosen as an analogy with the electrical power grid. It is believed that computing power and data resources will be the next utility and users will be able to use these resources in the same way that electricity is used nowadays. That is, users are not aware of the source and how they are offered, but they are provided with an interface that allows then to use and pay for it in an “as you go” manner.
