    3. CCC Confer Mission
      • To provide the California Community Colleges system with the highest quality Web conferencing technology and services in support of meetings, collaboration and e-learning environments.
    4. About CCC Confer
      • Located at Palomar College in San Marcos, California
      • Funded from a grant from the California Community Colleges Chancellor’s Office
      • Offers the CCC system a viable means to meet and collaborate at a distance
      • Available to all staff, faculty and administrators in the California Community Colleges system
    5. What Is e-Conferencing?
      • Groups can potentially see, hear, text chat, present and share information in a collaborative manner
      • All view a shared document, stream audio and/or video, use VoIP, or use a Web-based chat technology
      • Presenter can present content over the Internet using a form of slide show presentation, Web-based chat and streaming audio and/or video.
      • Students view the presentation by logging into the Web conference, and communicate with the moderator either through their phones or through e-based chat.
    6. More about e-Conferencing
      • Presenter can interact with participants, view attendee lists and manage the communication during the event.
      • Real-time viewing and/or modification of shared documents and files through the Internet.
      • No special software is required.
      • A session can be archived, allowing everything to be played back verbatim.

    11. How to enhance online ESL instruction with CCC Confer
      • Students can participate at various levels: observing, listening, reading; text chatting, oral communication.
      • Unlike a static textbook page or webpage, you can SHOW, DEMONSTRATE, ANIMATE, COLORIZE with visual input while you STRESS, EMPHASIZE, REPEAT, REPHRASE key points with auditory input.
