    • Recap First RNA Polymerase comes in at the promoter region to split apart the double helix in the nucleus of the cell. While being split an mRNA strand is being made. After the the polymerase goes through the entire helix the mRNA strand leaves the nucleus through a nuclear pore allowing it to enter the ribosome. The mRNA strand goes into the small subunit of the ribosome. From there tRNA molecules with anti codons bind with the mRNA strand to form amino acids. The tRNA strands move through the mRNA strand but leave the amino acids behind in order to form peptide bonds. Once the stop codon is reached the peptide bonds start to fold in to form a tertiary structure or a protein.
