• In transcription RNA Polymerase splits a
section of DNA in half. mRNA copies the
genetic code. After the mRNA leaves the
nucleus through a nuclear pore. The mRNA
then goes to the cytoplasm/ribosome.

• In translation, mRNA becomes in contact with
the ribosomes. The ribosomes then split apart
into a big subunit and a small subunit. The
ribosomes reads the mRNA sequence. The
ribosomes then translates the sequence into
amino acids. The amino acids are connected
by a peptide bond, which make a protein.
