• Transcription is the process of transferring
DNA to RNA. This is performed because DNA
can’t fit through the cell’s nuclear pores, but
RNA can. Then, RNA is pushed out the nuclear
pore and bonds with a ribosome.
150. Translation
• Translation is a process in which a ribosome,
made up of a small subunit, and a large
subunit, enter the area at the start codon,
move to the coding region synthesizing the
bases along the way.
