Nothing can be done without hope and confidence. ~

You can never be successful if you don’t have the positive energy within you to believe that you can.

When medicine fail cancer can be cured with the help of positive energy! Best example of this is Lance Armstrong

 5. 5. Third Principle-Performance

“ You can’t cross the sea merely by standing and staring at the water” said Rabindernath Tagore.

You need to be ready to go the extra mile.

The principles of success will not work until you do that i.e. Performance.

Bill Gates is the richest man in the world, and yet, even today, he works 16-18 hours every day.

 6. 6. Fourth Principle-Perseverance

“ Every winner is a winner because he has dared to fail”

~ Perseverance is failing 19 times and succeeding the 20th.

~ Success is not final, failure is not fatal: it is the courage to continue that counts. ~

E.G. : Kiran Majumdar Shaw

 7. 7. Kiran Majumdar Shaw

She started her company in her garage in Bangalore. She named it Biocon.

It was in the business of making enzymes for industrial use. Back then, in the 1970s, no one understood enzymes and they definitely did not want her to bet on business if it had a woman as its head.

Banks refused to loan her money without a male guarantor .

She could not find anyone who was ready to work for her-not even a secretary.

She did not cry foul and give up. She kept faith and stuck on till she found a bank that was willing to take a chance on her.

In 2004, Biocon went public, and by the end of the first day of trading, the company had achieved a market value of $1.1 Billion.

Today Kiran is India’s wealthiest Woman

 8. 8. 9. 10. Sixth Principle-People

If you want to go fast, go alone; if you want to go far go together.

~ Individually, we are one drop. Together, we are an ocean. ~

first 4 principle together has many success stories but when you add personality and people skills, it has synergy effect

Now, 1+1 is no more 2 its 11

Best Example of Team work is Infosys

 11. 12. Seventh Principle- Perspective

- A glass through which objects are viewed.

- The unfortunate reality in our lives is that often, we lack perspective, we choose that path which gives us short term returns, but is harmful in the long run.

 12. 13. Narayan Murthy’s Perspective

Example: In 1990, After nine years of tolling hard, the company had received an exciting offer – a sum of $ 1 million for selling Infosys. After four hours of discussion how with extra money, they could all move on. Finally, when it was Murthy’s turn to speak. He reminded them of the dream with which they had started the company and said that even if times were hard at the time, things would change if they had faith. The darkest hours came just before dawn.

It was Muthy’s long-term perspective and foresight that made infosys what it is today

 13. 14. Eight Principle-Principles

Principles and ethics in People

~ Ethics is knowing the difference between what you have a right to do and what is right to do.

~ Nowadays people know the price of everything and the value of nothing. ~

~ Education without values, as useful as it is, seems rather to make man a more clever devil. ~

 14. 15. They Tried & Chased what they believe in. And for them Journey is reward
 15. 16. Ninth Principle-Patriotism

~ Patriotism, when it wants to make itself felt in the domain of learning, is a dirty fellow who should be thrown out of doors. ~

~ Patriotism is your conviction that this country is superior to all other countries because you were born in it. ~

Bhagat Singh a young barrister give his life for his country. Its not like that Patriotism is giving your life for the country is Thinking for your country people before thinking for some one else.
