EDUCATION AND ASSOCIATIONS EXPERTISE Response to Intervention (RtI), literacy, school leadership Ms. Harris currently works with charter schools in Florida to deliver targeted training and technical assistance relevant to the implementation of Common Core State Standards. She also uses a Local Instructional Improvement System (LIIS) to analyze student achievement data that will help drive instruction. She brings expertise in the areas of reading and writing as a process, content literacy, developmental literacy, digital learning, online education, ESOL practices, leadership, and educational policy. Ms. Harris earned a Masters in Educational Leadership at Nova Southeastern University and a Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education from University of Central Florida. She holds K12 Endorsements in Reading and ESOL/ELL. Ms. Harris is President of the Florida Literacy Coaches Association, former President of the Council for Online Literacy Educators, a member of the International Reading Association, ASCD, and Florida Reading Association. EXPERIENCE Ms. Harris has worked in the education field for more than 16 years. She has taught both at the K-12 and graduate college level. Prior to joining PCG Education in 2102, Ms. Harris was the Literacy Supervisor for Florida Virtual School, served as the Florida Department of Education area coordinator for Just Read, Florida through the University of Central Florida, and was an elementary literacy coach and district consultant for Hillsborough County. In previous roles, Ms. Harris was responsible for managing literacy achievements, coaching/mentoring leaders, implementing innovations, and strategically thinking through school practices for organizational growth.
