Characteristics Why Mass transportation system  Hig Population growth  High Emissions (Bus Pollution)  Old buses and vans (Average life 16 and18 years old).  Lack of Order – Anarchy.  Competition for passengers.  Non compliance with traffic laws.  Traffic Jams  High cost per trip  Very low quality service  Lack of Alternatives to the car.
  • 10. NEW SOLUTIONS METRO and METROBUS • EL METROBUS will replace the red devils. • Will Feed Metro System • Both are good alternatives to the car (partially and depending on time and destination) El Metrobus will enter service in late 2010, Metro line 1 by2014
