  • GOOD MORNING EVERYONE   THANK YOU FOR THE INVITATION TO BE HERE WITH YOU AT YOUR P 2 P ANNUAL CONFERENCE AND FOR THE OPPORUNITY TO SAY A FEW WORDS ABOUT OUR EASTERN ALBERTA TRADE CORRIDOR INITIATIVE. OVER THE PAST NUMBER OF YEARS THREE EASTERN ALBERTA REGIONAL ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT ALLIANCES IN EASTERN ALBERTA HAVE BEEN WORKING TOGETHER ON A PROJECT KNOWN AS THE EASTERN ALBERTA TRADE CORRIDOR. THIS INITIATIVE IS FOCUSED ON REINVIGORATING THE RURAL AND URBAN ECONOMIES OF COMMUNITIES IN EASTERN ALBERTA. THE EASTERN ALBERTA TRADE CORRIDOR™ IS MORE THAN A MAJOR NORTH / SOUTH TRANSPORTATION ROUTE THAT CONNECTS THE UNITED STATES BORDER IN THE SOUTH TO THE MAJOR OIL SANDS PROJECTS IN NORTHERN AND NORTH EASTERN ALBERTA.
