North Straddie in the background will keep you well and truly occupied as it will take you years to explore its’ 38km x 11km boundaries. Plus there’s South Stradbroke Island. All 21km x 2.5km of it. Both are also tourist destinations.

In a medical emergency, you will be flown by helicopter to Brisbane hospital and get there quicker than from a lot of suburbs on the mainland.For less urgent medical cases there is an ambulance waterbus to take you to the mainland.Each Island has an ambulance.Each island is serviced by its own locally based paramedic.
