7 Practical Things About Social Bookmarking Social bookmarking systems are web-based services that allow users to bookmark all manner of web based resources, 'tag' those resources with meaningful keywords, and share their bookmarks with others. In this talk, I'll describe how social bookmarking systems can be used to support resource and expert discovery, bounded search and linkblogging. Some of the practicalites of integrating a social bookmarking system into a managed VLE will also be discussed.
