  • How to use Slideshare PSU Summer Institute
  • Step 1: Create Your Document Create your SlidePresentation and/or TextDocument in just about any program you wish. Supported Formats Presentations : pdf, ppt, pps, pptx, ppsx, pot, potx (Powerpoint); odp (OpenOffice); key, zip (Apple Keynote). Documents : pdf, doc, docx, rtf, xls (MSOffice); odt, ods(OpenOffice); Apple iWork Pages.
  • Step 2: Login and upload to Slideshare Log into with the username and password you were given. Click upload and upload your document. or you can try this which is simpler but may not always work Step 2: Email your document to Slideshare Send files as attachment to this email address: They will be uploaded publicly to our SlideShare account (it does not matter what email address you send file from) The subject of your email will be file title; anything in email body will form description View slide
  • Step 3: Get the code (part 1) to insert it into your institute page 3a. Go to our slideshare page: (that's where you emailed your file--you may have to wait a bit for your file to finish processing) 3b. Click on your file View slide
  • Step 4: Still Getting the code (part 2) to insert it into your institute page 4a. Click into the Embed box and copy that code. (When you click into that box it automatically selects the whole code. Copy the code by either clicking [ctrl c] or Edit>copy
  • Step 5: Paste into our Institute page (part 1) 5a. Go to your institute page your working on and click on the Easy Edit button 5b. Place your cursor where you want your document embeded. 5c. Click the WIDGET button 5c. Select OTHER WIDGET
  • Step 5: Paste into our Institute page (part 2) 5d Paste
  • Step 6: Finished 6a. Click Save 6b. If desired: choose your size by clicking on the + or - icon. You can also choose your Wrap Text style 6c. Then click DONE 6e. Then click SAVE on the EASY EDIT bar.
