- IE 6 is still used by RAF, MoD, NHS, local authorities – – serious security flaws and broken for many e-resources

UL virtual application available at P:Firefox
+ Renders web pages more correctly than IE + Useful Firefox plugins available for some library resources
- No integration with Portal / desktop login - UL virtual application is slow and prone to crashing - UL virtual application is out of date: possible security risk

+ Very fast and easy to update + Loads of widgets/plugins/extensions/tools - No integration with Portal / desktop login - Desktop version: doesn't store profile preferences properly - Beta versions: some e-resource authentication problems

Apple Safari (5.0.4)
(Newest available version: 5.1) Installed on the Macs on the 1st floor - No integration with Portal / desktop login - Not very extensible / flexible + Support by ICT for Mac users + ??? (I'm sure there are some)
