Notes

Social Media is the future of communication, a countless array of internet based tools and
platforms that increase and enhance the sharing of information. This new form of media makes
the transfer of text, photos, audio, video, and information in general increasingly fluid among
internet users. Social Media has relevance not only for regular internet users, but businesses as
well.

Social Media is changing the way/understanding of people’s purchases and the way they
communicate with each other. Facebook pages started to hold great value for brands.

Facebook and Social Networks are the Number One Online Activity Tools.
Turkish internet users live in the social networks. An average Facebook user spends 30 minutes a
day on the network. The same number for e-mail’s is only 3 minutes.

More than %85 of people who connect to the internet from Turkey watch just about an hour of TV
everyday. 1 out of every 5 internet user watches TV via stream online. Turkey is one of the top
countries who tend to watch TV online.

The ratio for connecting to Facebook via mobile is increasing everyday. 450 million people reach
Facebook via mobile. This ratio in Turkey is over %50.
