  19. Using Blogs
    • “ One of my favorite performance tasks this year was our Reviving The Art of Storytelling Project. After a unit on fables, myths, and folktales students created their own modern day myth, fable, or folktale and had to podcast it on our class blog.…The most amazing thing was how I was able to help students read with more inflection in their voice simply by using Audacity. The students could see when they were reading monotone visually in Audacity! We now use Audacity to document progress on fluency…I now frequently use my blog site for students to post responses to readings and to collaborate on new vocabulary. They even go as far to correct each other!” http://successfulteaching.blogspot.com/2008/03/web-20-and-special-education-student.html
  20. Another Blog Use
    • Nieman Enhanced Learning Center Blog
    • “ Students will learn to be safe and responsible social networkers. They will understand intellectual property and copyright issues. Students will have the opportunity to write real and relevant content which is viewed by an authentic audience. The content may be original thoughts or stories, comments in response to peers or response to reflection questions posted by teachers as blog entries or threaded discussions.”
