Bill Krakower has been a teacher in the Woodland Park Public School District for six years. He currently teaches Computer Technology Skills to grades three & four. Bill Krakower also served as a special education teacher an inclusion teacher and resource room teacher. He enjoys preparing his students for 21st century skills. Technology and web tools such as Edmodo, Skype, GlogsterEDU, Google docs, and Espresso Education are an integral part of his classroom and school. Recently, he finished his Advance Certificate in Educational Leadership at Long Island University, Hudson Campus, and also has received a dual Masters Degree in Special Education & Elementary Education from the Hudson Campus. He is the co-founder of #elemsci chat and co-moderators for #njed & #satchat chats, and has developed wiki sites for #elemsci, #njed, #satchat & #edcampnj.
Dana Sirotiak is a 7th grade middle school social studies teacher at Frank R. Conwell Middle School #4 in Jersey City, New Jersey. She completed her Bachelor’s of History in 2006 and recently completed her Master’s Degree in Educational Technology, where she completed her thesis on Decreasing the Dropout Rate for At-risk Students through Distance Learning. She is currently enrolled in the Supervision Program at New Jersey City University with the intentions of continuing on to complete the Education Leadership Program in Administration. Her goal is to one day become an Administrator. In addition to her instructional duties, Dana serves on her school’s Professional Development Committee, School Leadership Committee, two History Curriculum writing Committees for her district, and works after school for the 21st Century Program where she teaches Gaming and Design. Dana is interested in reforming education through the integration of 21st Century Skills. As part of Dana’s 21st Century initiative, Dana has recently started flipping her classroom in January of 2012. Although new to this instructional method, Dana sees the benefits of “flipping” in order to improve student learning.
Jeffrey Bradbury teaches in the North Brunswick Twp School District. He teaches Music Theory, Music History and has a wonderful high school orchestra that he is very proud of. Jeff earned his Bachelors and Masters Degree from West Chester University in Pennsylvania. In his free time, Jeff enjoys teaching, playing violin, conducting, web design, and podcasting.
