    Notes on slide 1

Attend this Boardroom Session to: - Discover three new savings opportunities that UPMC has uncovered.  - Learn the five key elements of a successful eProcurement program. - Learn best practices on improving contract compliance and automation to drive ROI. - Learn how to manage your "long tail" suppliers to give them world-class connectivity. - Gain insights on the available solutions in the marketplace. -Always be ready to fight. Analysts took one look at the disparate units that comprised IBM and how much they were costing the company and its shareholders, and demanded they be broken out into their own businesses. Gerstner said "No," engaging in his first battle with "The Street." -If it's broken, fix it. IBM had an anemic economic model, a host of revenue-draining assets, and even problems with its own internal information technology tools (an oddity in the information technology industry). IBM was in serious trouble when Gerstner took over. Yet, with the right vision and strategy (not to mention the valued resources that followed them), he was able to breathe new life into the moribund organization. -If it's not broken, fix it anyway. Some aspects of the business could have probably been safely ignored or set aside. Gerstner improved them anyway. -Make a personal commitment to leading. True leadership - the kind that makes companies special, that can turn them around, that can make elephants dance - requires commitment, determination and passion for life, for business and for winning.

*Supplier content comes in all shapes and sizes, so you need a platform solution to drive integration and interoperability . *It’s critical that users be able to search across ALL content sources, quickly and efficiently. *The Marketplace also drives STANDARDS (e.g. UNSPSC or GS1) which leads to improved data, reduced errors, and improved interop.

Control (via workflow) changes to hosted catalog content Disable catalogs or content in a recall or other scenario that requires immediate attention

      • Users access ALL catalogs (including punchouts) from a single user interface:
      • SIMPLE …intuitive, “consumer-like”
      • FULL FUNCTIONALITY…federated search, item compare, etc.
      • CONFIGURABLE views (categories, catalogs, fields, etc.)
      • Content is king, but without users that are delighted and engaged, the project will fail.
      • It’s critical that users be able to search, find the right item(s) quickly, transact, and get back to care delivery.
ROI Drivers: See for yourself - Test drive the solution at ProdigoSolutions.com
    28. ROI Driver: Tools for Driving Compliance Once content is ramping and users are transacting, it’s critical to have tools to drive and maintain compliance, or ROI will erode. We empower the purchasing / materials management professional with the ability to: ROI Driver Audit Punchout pricing ROI Driver Control (via workflow) changes to hosted catalog content ROI Driver Disable catalogs or specific content in a recall or other scenario.
    29. ROI Driver: Flexibility with Control
      • Support REAL business conditions…
      • FAST and EASY “change-out” (new source / new contract = new catalog)
      • MORE suppliers go “online” every day
      • In today’s healthcare environment, business requirements change, so you need a platform to be able to respond quickly and efficiently.
