  • 1. Periodistas brasileños: preparados para el futuro de la profesión? Uma encuesta de PR Newswire
  • 2. EscenarioEl mundo de los mediosvive un emblemáticomomento de transición: lapopularidad de los mediosdigitales y el papel de losperiódicos y revistasimpresas en este escenario.
  • 3. Escenario En América Latina parece estar en contrapuesto de este fenómeno. Por aquí, los tirajes crecerán (50% sólo en Perú, de acuerdo con los datos de KPMG). En Brasil, los periódicos aumentarán 2.3% en circulación en los primeros 6 meses de 2012, según el Instituto Verificador de Circulación (IVC).
  • 4. Por eso...Con tantos puntos en la agenda, lapolémica prosigue: ¿Los mediosimpresos van a terminar?PR Newswire quiso saber lo quepiensan los principalesinvolucrados en este panorama alrespecto de estas cuestiones.

La pesquisa La encuesta contaba con 15 preguntas de opción múltiple y fue realizada entre los días 25 de septiembre y 17 de octubre de 2012, por medio de un cuestionario online La pesquisa contó con la participación de 316 periodistas activos en el mercado Esta es la segunda iniciativa de la empresa, que en el 2011 realizó una pesquisa “Periodistas y las redes sociales”.
  • 6. Perfil de los participantes Del total de los periodistas que respondieron a la encuesta (316), 30.4% trabajan en periódico. A continuación, vienen los profesionales que trabajan en Portales/Sites/Digital, con 26.3%, seguido de los periodistas de revista (19.9%), TV (7.9%), Agencias de Noticias (7.3%) y radio (2.2%). De este universo, la mayoría -62.7%- se dedica solamente a un medio.
  • 7. ¿Tablet? No, por el momento.¿Smartphone? Sí, por favor La tablet todavía no se populariza entre los periodistas. 66.1% todavía no cuentan con Tablet, contra el 33.9%. Ya Smartphone ganó el gusto de la categoría: 71.8% cuentan con celulares con las características. 63% dijeron tener por hábito leer noticias en smartphones o tablets.

La fuerza de los mediosimpresosA pesar de recurrir a los smartphones o de leer la versión digital de los medios, los periodistas todavía prefieren la versión en papel. 57.6%Y sobre el futuro de las ediciones impresas, la mayoría es enfática: 68% no cree en el fin de ellas, y 21.8% todavía no tiene certeza.
  • 9. ¿Información inmediata? La red es mi lugar Si escuchara un “rumor” y necesitara llegar a la información de alguna manera, los periodistas recurren primero a la internet: 55.1%. La TV y la radio casi no fueron citados en la pesquisa. El periódico del día siguiente quedó como última de las opciones, con el 0.3%.
  • 10. El futuro de lo digital y lo digital en el futuroLos periodistas brasileños apuestan al futuro digital. El 79.1% acreditan que estos formatos se convirtieron cada vez más populares. Cuando se trata de cobrar por el acceso al contenido digital, la clase se divide; 55.1% no está de acuerdo, mientras el 44.9% está a favor de la práctica.

El futuro de lo digital y lo digital en el futuro Sobre el uso de los recursos multimedia en su rutina profesional, incluyendo el recibir los releases multimedia,, los periodistas se mostraron adaptados: 55.1% respondieron utilizar estos recursos frecuentemente. Los periodistas brasileños también están habituados a escribir materiales para las diferentes versiones online de los medios donde trabajan (67.7%). La fusión de las versiones impresas con la oline es una tendencia en la visión de esos profesionales (57.9%).
  • 12. Además… A pesar de creer en la popularidad de los formatos digitales, 66.5% de los participantes nunca hicieron ningún progreso para este segmento. Los periodistas continúan teniendo fé en las versiones impresas (53.2%).
  • 13. Consideraciones El periodista brasileño acredita en la popularidad de los medios digitales. Más: él vive, hoy ya, esta realidad, teniendo que producir contenido específico para los sites y versiones digitales de los medios donde trabajan. Además y a pesar de que concuerdan con estos aspectos, los periodistas no piensan que los medios impresos están con los días contados.
  • 14. Consideraciones Los profesionales de hoy, activos en el mercado, continúan apostando sus fichas en las versiones en papel e, incluso viendo el formato digital en ascenso en el futuro, no demostraron estar, al menos en éste preocupados en estudiar o especializarse en este segmento.
