    2. 2. CenárioO mundo da mídia vive umemblemático momento detransição: a popularizaçãodos veículos digitais e opapel de jornais e revistasimpressas neste cenário.
    3. 3. Cenário A América Latina parece estar na contramão deste fenômeno. Por aqui, as tiragens cresceram (50% só no Peru, de acordo com dados da KPMG). No Brasil, os jornais brasileiros aumentaram 2,3% em circulação nos primeiros seis meses de 2012, segundo o Instituto Verificador de Circulação (IVC).
    4. 4. Por isso...Com tantos pontos em pauta, apolêmica prossegue: os veículosimpressos vão acabar?A PR Newswire quis saber o quepensam os principais envolvidosneste panorama a respeito destasquestões.
    5. 5. A pesquisa A pesquisa contou com 15 questões de múltipla escolha e foi realizada entre os dias 25 de setembro e 17 de outubro de 2012, via questionário online. Ao todo, 316 jornalistas atuantes no mercado participaram do levantamento. Esta é a segunda iniciativa da PR Newswire no Brasil, que em 2011 realizou a pesquisa “Jornalistas brasileiros e as redes sociais”.
    6. 6. Quem participou Do total dos jornalistas que responderam à enquete (316), 30.4% trabalham em jornal. Na sequência, vem os profissionais que atuam em Portais/Sites/Digital, com 26.3%, seguidos dos jornalistas de revista (19.9%), TV (7.9%), Agências de Notícias (7,3%) e rádio (2.2%). Deste universo, a maioria – 62.7% - dedica-se a somente um veículo.
    7. 7. Tablet? Não, por enquanto. Smartphone?Sim, por favor O tablet ainda não se popularizou entre os jornalistas: 66.1% ainda não possuem tablet, contra 33.9%. Já o Smartphone ganhou o gosto da categoria: 71.8% contam com celulares com recursos. 63% dos jornalistas têm por hábito ler notícias em smartphones ou tablets.
    8. 8. A força da mídia impressaApesar de recorrerem a smartphones ou de lerem versões digitais de veículos, os jornalistas ainda preferem as versões no papel (57.6%).E sobre o futuro das edições impressas, a maioria é enfática: 68% não crê no fim delas, e 21.8% ainda não tem certeza.
    9. 9. Informação imediata? A rede é meu lugar Se escutarem um “boato” e precisarem checar a informação de alguma maneira, os jornalistas recorrem primeiro à Internet: 55.1%. A TV e o rádio quase não foram citados na pesquisa, e ficaram com 1.9% e 2.8% das preferências. O jornal do dia seguinte ficou como última das opções, com apenas 0,3%.
    10. 10. O futuro do digital e o digital no futuroOs jornalistas brasileiros apostam no futuro digital. 79,1% acreditam que estes formatos se tornarão cada vez mais populares. Sobre a cobrança por acesso a conteúdo digital, a classe está dividida: 55.1% discordam, enquanto 44.9% são a favor da prática.

O futuro do digital e o digital no futuroSobre o uso de recursos multimídia em sua rotina profissional, incluindo recebimento de releases multimídia, os jornalistas se mostram adaptados: 55.1% responderam utilizar estes recursos frequentemente.Os jornalistas brasileiros também estão habituados a escrever materiais diferentes para as versões online dos veículos onde atuam (67.7%).A fusão das versões impressa com online é uma tendência na visão destes profissionais (57.9%).

Porém…Mesmo crendo na popularização dos formatos digitais,66.5% dos participantes nunca fizeram nenhum cursovoltado para este segmento.Ainda: apesar de acreditarem num futuro promissor paraos formatos digitais, os jornalistas continuam colocandofé nas versões impressas. 53.2% creem na força daspublicações no papel.
    13. 13. Considerações Sobre o jornalista brasileiro: ele acredita na popularização dos veículos digitais. Mais: ele vive, já hoje, esta realidade, tendo de produzir conteúdo específico para os sites e versões digitais dos meios onde trabalham. Porém, apesar de concordarem com estes aspectos, os jornalistas não acham que os veículos impressos estão com os dias contados.
    14. 14. ConsideraçõesOs profissionais de hoje continuam apostando suas fichas nas versões em papel e, mesmo vendo o formato digital em ascensão no futuro, não demonstram estar, pelo menos por enquanto, preocupados em estudar ou se especializar neste segmento.
