The age of progress <ul><li>Mantra : Faster, Better, Cheaper </li><ul><li>we were promised relief from tedium </li><ul><li>we got the white collar factory </li></ul><li>we were promised autonomy </li><ul><li>we got binders full of corporate policy </li></ul><li>we were promised a sense of purpose </li><ul><li>we got the tyranny of fulfillment targets </li></ul><li>we were promised a chance to contribute </li><ul><li>we got meetings where form triumphs over substance </li></ul><li>we were promised an outlet for creativity </li><ul><li>we got re-trained on re-engineering </li></ul></ul><li>In the age of a revolutionary change </li><ul><li>what is in store for us ? </li></ul></ul>
