  • 5. INTRODUCTION
    • Grooming: M eans neat and tidy appearance. Its an art of self presentation. Good Grooming is commonly used to refer to a persons appearance. It is made up of personal hygiene, tidy hair, appropriate dressing and includes your looks, body language, communication skills, manners etc.
    • Types of grooming :-
    • Physical: this is all about skin, hair and personal hygiene.
    • Metaphysical:This is all about personality,
    • body language and manners.

  • 7. PERSSONAL GROOMING AND FITNESS
    • TECHNIQUES FOR SKIN CARE :
    • Skin is one of the visible outer part of human body, which plays an important role to defend our body by fighting against micro-organisms, bacteria, weather conditions which may harm the body routine.
    • It has three layers:-
    • Epidermis : outer layer having no blood vessels and nerve endings.
    • Dermis : layer below the epidermis with elastic fiber elastin.
    • Hypodermis : layer below the dermis with fatty connective tissue, with high H2O content .
  • 8. THERE ARE FIVE TYPES OF SKIN
    • NORMAL SKIN
    • DRY SKIN
    • OILY SKIN
    • COMBINATION SKIN
    • SENSITIVE SKIN
  • 9. MY SKIN IS OILY
    • As the name implies, oily skin is slightly to moderately greasy. This type of skin is caused by the over secretion of sebum making the skin surface oily. The excess oil on the surface of the skin attracts dirt and dust from the environment. Oil skin is also prone to black heads,whiteheads,spots,pimples and such skin will never be clear. This type of skin needs to be cleansed thoroughly.
    • Oily skin prevents early aging, but it needs careful attention for not getting affected by skin related disorder.
  • 10. CARE FOR OILY SKIN
    • Oily skin need special cleansing with plenty of water .
    • Use hot water for face wash because it dissolves skin oil better than Luke warm water or cold water .
    • Use non alcohol based astringent .
    • Use antibacterial cleansing lotion or lightly medicated soap.
    • Use oil based products as then dissolve sebum effectively.
    • Use acne lotion first if you have any pimple, blackhead or ache then follow with moisturizer and makeup .
    • Avoid eating fatty foods like bacon because it will make your skin more oily .

    • Exfoliate your skin use approximately a dime size of exfoliate scrub this once or twice a week
    • Apply a product with retinal, retinal is an anti ageing product. ever night, use retinal gel to get rid of fine lines you only need a pea size amount of the product .
    • Use an over night cream look for cream with vitamin-c to lighten discoloration and provide a healthy glow over time.
    • Use a clay mask once a week, a clay mask absorbs and draws toxins from deep in your skins tissues at the same time cleansing and detoxifying.
  • 12. SHAVING
    • Shaving is the removal of hair especially face. I use electric machine which consists of rotating blades. I use after shave lotion as application aftershave without alcohol content and use moisturizer to soften the facial skin.
    • Few shaving tips:
    • Always use a sharp blade
    • Clean the razor with dettol
    • Always shave upwards
    • Avoid shaving as soon as you wake up.
  • 13. HAIR CARE REGIMEN
    • Hair is actually a modified type of skin. Hair is formed at the base of a hair follicle. A follicle is a structure resembling a pouch that is located below the skin. Hair grows more quickly in summer than in winter and more slowly at night than in day.
    • There are three types of hair
    • Dry hair
    • Oily hair
    • Normal hair
    • MY HAIR IS OILY IN NATURE
    • OILY HAIR:looks good for a day or two days after shampooing but then quickly becomes lifeless.group of hair cling together in unattractive strands and the head feels dirty.it often has a dandruff problems

    • Oily hair is likely shiny enough, so avoid using hair gloss gel or shine hair care products on oily hair
    • Drink 8 glass of water daily.drinking water is not only good for your oily hair but it is also great for your skin healthy too.
    • For extremely oily hair, a vinegar rinse, comprised of one part vinegar to four parts water can help remove oily from your hair, but be sure to avoid using vinegar on the scalp.
    • Diluted lemon juice can provide similar result to the vinegar rinse for oily hair with a much more pleasant scent.
    • Don’t brush oily hair frequently, because brushing oily hair can actually cause scalp to produce more oil.

  • 19. EXERCISE REGIMEN
    • Exercise is the physical exertion of the body - making the body do a physical activity which results in a healthy or healthier level of physical fitness and both physical and mental health. In other words, exercise aims to maintain or enhance our physical fitness and general health.
    • I have to gain 10kgs in a period of 8months through routine exercise like:
    • Meditation for 15minutes this helps to gain memory and free from stress.
    • Jogging or brisk walking for 30 minutes
    • Cycling for 15 to 20 minutes
    • Swimming once in a week
    • Sleep at least 7hours a day
  • 20. IMPORTANTS OF PROFESSIONALISM AT THE TIME OF INTERVIEW
    • Being confident.
    • Eye to eye contact.
    • Professionally dressed.
    • Punctual with proper resume.
    • Knowledge about current affairs.
    • Effective communication.
    • Time management.
    • Professional behavior.
    • Understanding culture and identifying your role.
    • Motivation.

    • As said first impression is the best impression. One has to present self as a thorough professional to the panel who are interviewing because they need people who are trained, skilled and learned over all to say a professional. As per the criteria of the company they have to work. Never give a second chance to think and select the candidate. It happens only if one miss to acquire the quality of a professional and may miss opportunities. Always opportunities never knock the door.
  • 22. How do you prepare to present yourself as a Professional in an interview?
    • Firstly I would study about the workplace I am attending the interview for.
    • I would dress accordingly to impress my interviewers.
    • I would be there 10 min before the interviewing time.
    • Would look confident and present myself professionally.
    • Would continue to stay in eye contact with my interviewer .
  • 23. Conclusion
    • It is quite difficult to conclude from my side. I'm a learner, what I have experienced in learning. Only I can share my happiness with the experiments practiced with self participation. Hence being a student can express about self ideology:
    • My attitude is changing
    • My attire now is different and collection of clothes are professional.
    • Health conscious
    • Food conscious
    • I have started to learn grooming ultimately what I needed by means of knowledge towards my self and others is taught and entertained .
