    • Birdy Birdy!
      • The Mockingbird is my state bird. Its top of the body is gray and brown. The bottom of the bird is brown and white. The wing is brown and it has two white stripes.

      • The song of Texas is called “Texas our Texas”. You are listening to it now.
    • The Lone Star Flag
      • The official state flag
      • of Texas is called the
      • lone star flag. It was
      • adopted in 1845.
      Texas is the 28th state of the USA. The colors represent bravery, purity, and loyalty. Red for bravery; white for purity; and blue for loyalty. The white star was first used during the war between Texas and Mexico in the 1830s.
    • The Pecan
      • The Pecan is the only nut tree native to north.
    • Monarch Butterfly
      • The monarch butterfly does not hibernate. Did you know that? But it flies to Mexico in the winter. I chose the monarch butterfly because it is my state insect.
    • Bluebonnet
      • The bluebonnet is also known as buffalo clover, wolf flower, and el conejo. It is my state flower.
