He was elected twice: Firstly, on January 20th , 2009 and lastly on the year 2012. He is one of the most important presidents of the USA ever. First of all, because he’s the first black president in the whole history of the country. Moreover, the Norwegian committee said that “Obama made great efforts to reinforce international relations and to improve cooperation between countries.” One of his most famous quotes about racism is the following: “There is not a liberal America and a conservative America - there is the United States of America. There is not a black America and a white America and Latino America and Asian America - there's the United States of America.” Obama has been the first US president that supports the same-sex marriage. What about his daily life? He says he likes playing basketball and writing, and he declares himself as a Harry Potter fan. In the year 2006, he won a Grammy award for his voice on the audio book Dreams from my father.
