  • 2. Icon for Alexandria • This is the icon for Alexandria Researcher. When you click on it the program will open

  • 4. Three ways to search
  • 5. Author Search • You can search for a book by typing in the authors last name and then clicking on the box labeled author.
  • 6. This is what your results will look like
  • 7. Things you need to look at • Is the book in, out , lost, discarded
  • 8. Title Search • You can search for a book by typing in the title or part of the title and then clicking on the box labeled title.
  • 9. This is what your results may look like.
  • 10. Subject Search • You can search for a book by typing in a subject and then clicking on the box labeled subject.
  • 11. Results for a broad subject search
  • 12. How to narrow your search • This means that you want to be more specific with the word you type in. Maybe you do not want all books about dogs. There were 308 titles. So maybe I want to try a Boolean search.
