  • My sermon today is entitled meaningless’!, meaningless? Is that all there is to life?
  • If you live in London you have probably seen this advert on London buses which started displaying on the 06/01/2009, by the Humanists society and the stir it has caused; There is probably no God,now stop worrying and enjoy your life. Enjoy your meaning less life! Note how they put it thre is probably, even they could not be bold enough to say there is no God, so actually you still have to worry.
  • Global warming, we humans believe we influence everything. We believe we run things and try to control the environment but what is interesting on this front page, is something reminding us of our frialties as humans-cancer! We seek security and we all try to place ourselves in the best environment so most of us in this room have migrated here seeking greener pastures and a better life but is that what we got?
  • Take the time headlines- Unhappy, unloved and out of control-Anepidemic of violence, crime and drunkeness has made Britain scared of iis young. What is causing the crisis ? Is this what we signed up to when we came to this country? We were only trying to secure our lives but do we actually feel more secure
  • We just want something small, kakra bi, but look carefully at the coins, like Jesus asked those who enquired should we pay tax his answer was whose head is on the coin?, I ask the same question of you this mane,
  • And whose face is on the notes. Of course it is the Queen
  • So what hope have we when we see headlines like these?
  • What hope has the rest of us when we see headlines like these? The one who owns all the money we are struggling for in this country has herself been hit by the credit crunch, and approached parliament for some relief last year July.
  • Credit crunch a system for privatising profits and socialising losses
