Bisleri has 60% market share in packaged drinking water in India.  Product range comprises of two variants : Bisleri with added minerals & Bisleri Mountain Water.  It is available in 8 pack sizes: 250ml cups, 250ml bottles, 500ml, 1 litre, 1.5 litre, 2 litre, 5 litre, and 20 litre.  Its operations run throughout the subcontinent of India and is one of the leading bottled water supplying companies in India.  As of 2007, Bisleri has 8 plants & 11 franchisees all3 PRATIK.A.DHAKE over India.

  5. 5. cont….  Bisleri was originally an Italian company created by Felice Bisleri, who first brought the idea of selling bottled water in India.  Bisleri then was introduced in Mumbai in glass bottles in two varieties – bubbly & still in 1965.  Parle bought over Bisleri (India) Ltd. in 1969 and started bottling water in glass bottles under the brand name „Bisleri‟.  The brand name Bisleri is so popular in India that it is used as generic name for bottled water.5 PRATIK.A.DHAKE

Chauhan started expanding Bisleri operations.  In 2003 Bisleri announced its venture to Europe.  After that Ramesh J. Cont… `  There are 250 workers working in Sahibabad plant.  The production process adopted by Bisleri is batch production.  The time taken to fill one bottle is approximately 5 minutes.  The workers work in 3 shifts which comprises of 60- 70 workers per shift.  The maintenance of the machines is done every19 month and every 45 days there is sanitation and PRATIK.A.DHAKE cleaning of the machine.

  22. 22. WASTE MANAGEMENT  PET garbage is purchased about 5000 kg every month, processed it and sold it to other companies .  PET waste can be recycled into carpets, car parts, fabrics, Fiberfil (for products like pillows and jackets), etc.  The PET powder enhances the bonding ability of asphalt which strengthens the roads.22 PRATIK.A.DHAKE
  23. 23. PURIFICATION PROCESS  It takes a lot to bring out the sweet taste of purity.  Every single drop of water that drips into a bottle of bisleri has to go through a stringent 6-step purification process.  First,groundwater is ozonized to destroy virus and bacteria.The next step of purification involves a sand filter which removes coarse particles up to 30 microns in size.23 PRATIK.A.DHAKE
