  • 1. OverviewBrindavan is a renewable energy company enabling large scale adoption ofgreen technologies in India. The company offers a range of solutions forenergy conservation and distributed power generation, and specializes inapplications of renewable energy technologies in 3 different areas:Energy Efficiency & Management• Solutions that ensure better performance in heating, ventilation, air-conditioning and lighting• Energy management systems which help analyze and control the energy consumption pattern like never before and in turn reduce energy consumption• Consultancy on various aspects of energy efficiency in infrastructure and real estate projects• Facilitation of energy audits and green building certificationsSolar Captive Power Generation• In-depth understanding of the various different solar power & related control systems technologies• Up to date information on Government regulations & incentives for captive solar power generation• Customized system design best suit the specific requirement & analysis of capital and operational costs of different design options• Installation, commissioning & maintenance of captive solar power plants: off-grid / grid-interactiveRural Electrification• A range of high quality solar products including solar lanterns, mobile phone chargers, home lighting solutions and solar power packs• Design & installation of community projects such as micro-grids, solar lantern charging stations and solar street lights• Organisation of solar workshops and training sessions for various stakeholders• Consultancy on mechanisms that ensure sustainable operations of solar projects in the rural setting
  • 2. Energy Efficiency & ManagementIncreasing fuel prices are causing electricity and energy expenses throughout the world to go throughthe roof. Buildings are one of the largest consumers of electrical energy, and saving energy expenseswithin their buildings has become a matter of great importance for all businesses today. The use ofenergy efficient equipment and processes can control these expenses significantly: energy auditshave shown that to the tune of 20-30% of energy consumption can be saved by the use of some verysimple new technologies and energy monitoring systems. These savings directly show up in the bottom line of the organization which is so important in today’scompetitive world. Further, adopting energy efficient solutions enable organizations to boostsbusiness productivity and also increase their brand equity by being ‘green’. All energy efficienttechnologies also have specific advantages, often in the form of intangible benefits which areimportant but often go unnoticed. For example, replacing energy guzzling sodium vapor and metalhalide lamps with LED and induction lamps not only reduces electricity consumption but also reducesreplacement costs, increases quality of light, and reduces toxic chemicals in the environment. We provide comprehensive solutions for reducing energyconsumption in existing as well as new premises. We offer end-to-end solutions covering the entire process from energy audit toinstallation and maintenance. These include (but are not limitedto):• Solutions that ensure better performance in heating, ventilation, air-conditioning and lighting• Energy management systems which help analyze and control the energy consumption pattern like never before and in turn reduce energy consumption.• Consultancy on various aspects of energy efficiency in infrastructure and real estate projects• Facilitation of energy audits and green building certifications
  • 3. Solar Captive Power GenerationWith the recent advancements in solar technology, solar PV power plants are rapidly becoming aviable option for captive power generation. Solar power is already serving as a cost-effectivereplacement for diesel in areas where grid power and diesel supply is erratic, and is expected toeventually become an attractive alternative to the grid supply. The rising price of diesel is increasing the operational costs of diesel generators and causing them tolose their traditional popularity. In many cases, issues such as lack of regular availability of diesel aswell as pilferage of diesel add to difficulties associated with it and further dissuade people fromrelying on diesel based solutions for power backup. Solar PV technologies, on the other hand arewitnessing reducing costs and increasing reliability. As the payback period for investing in solar poweris continues to go down, captive solar power generation is becoming economically more and moreattractive. We have strong capabilities in solar technologies and offer a wide range of innovative and costeffective solutions for solar PV installations. We take pride in helping early adopters of solar power tonot only save on their energy costs, but also benefit the environment. We offer our clients a ‘complete solution’ that includes• An in-depth understanding of the various different solar power and related control systems technologies• Up to date information on Government regulations and incentives for captive solar power generation• Customized system design to best suit the specific requirement, along with an analysis of capital and operational costs of different design options• Installation, commissioning and maintenance of captive solar power plants: both off-gird and grid-interactive
  • 4. Rural Lighting & Electrification400 million people across 80,000 villages in India still do not have access to electricity and depend onkerosene lamps for their lighting needs. For a vast majority of this population, a distributed approachtowards power generation is better suited than a model based entirely on centralized grid supply. The two most popular means of generating energy in a distributed manner are biogas based systemsand solar power systems, and both of these are growing in a big way in rural India – along with arapid expansion of the existing grid.We are actively participating in the mission of electrifying and lighting up rural India via the use ofsolar power. We have developed a range of high quality solar products that are well-suited for therural environment and work with several partner organizations to take our products and solutions tothe villages. our solar products are available.. One of the most impactful products in this context isthe range of solar lanterns offered by us – which besides providing much higher quality light thankerosene lanterns, also contribute to better healthcare and education.Along with deploying our solar products in rural India, we work closelywith a number of NGOs and non-profit foundations to develop modelsfor sustained socio-economic development via the use of solar poweredsolutions. Our current offerings for rural India include:• A range of high quality solar products including solar lanterns, mobile phone chargers, home lighting solutions and solar power packs• Design and installation of community projects such as micro- grids, solar lantern charging stations and solar street lights• Organisation of solar workshops and training sessions for stakeholders including local partners, users, operators and service providers• Consultancy on various mechanisms that ensure sustainable operations of solar projects in the rural setting
