    • Yas Island occupies a total land area of 2,500 hectares
      1,700 hectares is claimed for development
      Island will feature attractions such as a world-class motor sports racetrack, signature hotels, the Ferrari theme park, Water Park, and the Abu Dhabi destination retail development of 300,000 sq m retail area
      Unique International tourist destination expected to complete by 2014

    • Work on Yas Marina Circuit began in February 2007, and has included:
      Employing a workforce of 14,000
      Investing 35 million man hours
      Shifting 1.6 million cubic meters of earthwork
      Laying 720,000 square meters of asphalt
      Pouring 225,000 cubic meters of concrete
      Installing 30 kilometres of special electronic ducts
      Installing 25 kilometres of electrical cabling
      Installing 17 kilometres of drainage
      Installing 22 kilometres of irrigation piping
      Landscaping 430,000 square meters of ground
      Planting 5,000 trees
      Setting 40 kilometres of curb-stones

      The roof only is over 200.000 m2 whereas the total project volume including aluminum façade covering is approximately 300.000 m2. The equivalent of 50 football pitches!

    • Post MoU of NIB & Aldar and Sorouh real estate in 2008, 90% of financing to YAS was done by NIB
      By mid-2009, the ferrari theme park was up & running
      The value of developments under construction increased by 119.2% to AED 18,260.1 million (2008: AED 8,332 million)
