    • Cold-blooded amphibian
    • No scales
    • Returns to damp areas to breed
  3. Breeding:
    • Female lays a lot of single eggs at once
    • Male fertilizes the eggs
    • Female sometimes leaves after she has laid the eggs
    • Eggs:
    • Eggs hatch after 6-21 days
    • They then start to divide into 2, 4, 8…
    • The more it divides, the more it starts to look like a tadpole.
