  • 1. Quick Help Card: How to connect from Microsoft Lync to Skype. See also blog post. 1 Create an Email Address at Outlook.com. This is needed In order to get a Microsft Authentication for Skype. Lync and Skype belong to Microsoft. 2 Create a new Skype Account with your new Outlook.com Email Address. Skype will ask you later in the registration process if you want to merge your old Skype account with the new one. This way you keep your contacts. 3 In Skype do a contact search with the email address that you use or the person you want to contact is using to sign into the Microsoft Lync Account and connect. 4 Once the person appears in the contacts list click on the name and this person will recieve an invitation to connect. Now this person with Microsoft Lync Account needs to accept your invitation to connect send from Skype. Tick the box next to Add to this contact group. Firstname.lastname@company.com Firstname.lastname@cutlook.com 5 Click Ok. Done. Now you can make calls between Microsoft Lync and Skype.
