Proverbs 10:20 The tongue of the righteous is choice silver, but the heart of the wicked is of little value. Proverbs 11:12 A man who lacks judgment derides his neighbor, but a man of understanding holds his tongue.
  3. 3. Proverbs 31:26 She speaks with wisdom, and faithful instruction is on her tongue. James 1:26 If anyone considers himself religious and yet does not keep a tight rein on his tongue, he deceives himself and his religion is worthless.
  4. 4. 1. COMMUNICATE CLEARLY - What do you want to say? Proverbs 10:19 When words are many, sin is not absent, but he who holds his tongue is wise.
  5. 5. 2. COMMUNICATE PLEASANTLY - happily avoiding ill-temper manner Proverbs 15:30 A cheerful look brings joy to the heart, and good news gives health to the bones. Proverbs 21:23 He who guards his mouth and his tongue keeps himself from calamity.

COMMUNICATE PLEASANTLY - gently avoiding harsh, provocative,sarcastic and offensive words Ephesians 6:4 And, ye fathers, provoke not your children to wrath: but bring them up in the nurture and admonition of the Lord. Proverbs 25:15 Through patience a ruler can be persuaded, and a gentle tongue can break a bone.
  7. 7. 3. COMMUNICATE POSITIVELY - avoid negative words - filled with affirmations and appreciations Proverbs 12:18 Reckless words pierce like a sword, but the tongue of the wise brings healing.
  8. 8. 4. COMMUNICATE HONESTLY - speak truthfully avoiding lying Ephesians 4:15 Instead, speaking the truth in love, we will in all things grow up into him who is the Head, that is, Christ. Colossians 3:9 Do not lie to each other, since you have taken off your old self with its practices
  9. 9. 5. COMMUNICATE BIBLICALLY - speak with God's words - Your human words are not powerful. God's words are powerful - Your human words are not always right . God's Words are always right Proverbs 31:26 She speaks with wisdom, and faithful instruction is on her tongue.

COMMUNICATE HUMOROUSLY - inject humor and funny stories • Proverbs 17:22 A cheerful heart is good medicine, but a crushed spirit dries up the bones. • Proverbs 15:13 A happy heart makes the face cheerful, but heartache crushes the spirit. • Proverbs 15:15 All the days of the oppressed are wretched, but the cheerful heart has a continual feast.
  12. 12. B. ESTABLISH A REGULAR GOOD " COMMUNICATION TIME " IN YOUR FAMILY 1Thessalonians 5:11 Therefore encourage one another and build each other up, just as in fact you are doing.

Words of God and God's Revelations ( Devotion and Bible Reading )
