  2. 2. Board: +91-80-49531111 Private & Confidential www.sdlglobe.com Our Understanding Overview There will be a team of observers in the central monitoring unit who shall be assigned and monitoring the surveillance cameras for specific number of stores. The number of cameras for all the stores and their IP address will assigned to the specific observers. If there are any incidents found by the observer while monitoring, they should be able to trigger an alert through the application and alert the corresponding store managers. SDL remote video monitoring system is an ultimate management tool for any retail shops, especially for the chain stores. The top management can employ CCTV and DVR system in most of its shops for central management. They can monitor the instant video of each shops simply on his office computer through the phone line, Internet or mobile network connection. The top management in office can perform simultaneous multi-store monitoring. They can also monitor up to 16 locations of each store wherein only a unit of Video Recording Server connecting to Scope This document covers the scope of the project forCCTV central monitoring system. The client requires a software application which can convert the existing analog videos into digital format which shall be continuously monitored by a team of observers. The client presently has 54 different store locations where the cameras have been installed. The observers need to access all the videos in one location. The observers should be able send alerts for any incidents observed to local store managers. Workflows to setup the reporting items, assigning observers for each location and alerts for incidents have to incorporated into the software. Our understanding for the various features required for this application are given below:

  10. 10. Board: +91-80-49531111 Private & Confidential www.sdlglobe.com Modules Functions of CMS are worked in module form. Please enable the module with the function you want to use. There are four modules available in CMS at present, which are Live View, Playback, E‐Map. Live View Live View module is used to view live videos and control PTZ cameras; simple window patrol is also supported in this module. View Setup To enable live view, please tick the “Enable” checkbox of Live View module first and then add a new grouper in the View List. Second, add a new view under a grouper. Please note that Live View module only supports window patrol among views under the same grouper. Therefore, if a window patrol is supposed to be done among multiple views in the Live View module, please tick “Enable View Sequence” and place these views in a same grouper View Display Name ‐ User defined name of the view, which will be used in the CMS. Stay Time on View Sequence (in ms) ‐ How long will the view stay on the screen if window patrol is used. Enable Smart Streaming ‐ If this option is enabled, CMS will automatically decide when to stream a video instead of streaming all videos concurrently during window patrol. Enable View Preload ‐ During window patrol, CMS will start to load the videos of the next coming view when current view is shown up on screen if this option is enabled. It can make switching between views smoother. Playback Playback module is used to replay recorded videos in servers. To use this module, please tick the “Enable” checkbox of Playback module in Setting. E‐Map E‐Map allows user to identify the location of cameras and devices on a map. When an alarm is triggered, an alarm message will show up on the Alarm List, user can pop up the alarm video and see where this alarm occurs. Settings of E‐Map can also be imported and exported for further usage.
