    14. 14. National ReportOverall Summary14 15 December 2012
    15. 15. HIGHLIGHTS • Progressive movement in practicing personal conversion and family relationships among the guides as a result of the Culmination Week – Intensified personal conversion and emphasis in intense moments among the guides as a result of the positive experience from the Culmination Weeks – Focused on quality versus quantity of service – Held successful local assembly in the effort to solidify relationships among the local coordination members – Increased attendance of guides to monthly deserts and monthly coordination meeting across local coordinations • Held (2) sending-forth events with 9 additional guides – Bulacan had 6 newly installed guides – Manila had 6 newly installed guides15 15 December 2012
    16. 16. HIGHLIGHTS • Increased promotion efforts for PLC and School of Formation – Initiated Prayer and Life Workshop Circles (PLC) in Bulacan and Manila respectively after successfully completing Cycle 2 workshops – Offered adult workshops to collegiate graduating students located in an off-campus university in Bulacan – Regular campaign for new schools of formation with the intent to invite future guides during Session 15 across coordination – Initiated a joint-effort medical mission in Antipolo City by Marikina16 Guides 15 December 2012
    17. 17. HIGHLIGHTS• Initiated expansion plans thru local coordination initiatives – Campaigned Prayer and Life Workshops in Cebu thru the efforts of Marikina and Antipolo – Collaborated with various Bishops to secure endorsement letters and PLW promotions within their diocese – Increased meeting schedules with clergy to promote PLW mission17 15 December 2012
    18. 18. CHALLENGES • Delayed implementation of 2nd cycle workshops – Accounted delay by Bulacan Coordination in their off-campus university workshop due to the semestral break that occurred during the opening of the 2nd cycle. Majority of participants where senior students having their on-the-job training schedule – Accounted delay in Manila after venues were tied in with school setting – observed semestral break • Dissolved workshop sessions due to low attendance turnouts and participant issues – Bulacan: Session consisted of employers (husband and wives) and their employees. Gaps between the employees and other business reasons hindered the session to push through – Manila: Low attendance turnout due to18 aftermath of “Habagat” or flash flood 15 December 2012
    19. 19. CHALLENGES• Timing of 2nd Cycle Schedule – Due to a push-back schedule of 2nd cycle, the opening sessions went parallel with the 3rd and 4th quarter activities of schools prompting for sessions to experience increase absences among students (Bulacan)• Tracking of participant attendance who is part of the same community – Participants who are part of the same community and has 3 PLW classes for the week often times jumps off from 1 class to the other making it difficult to track attendance across guides• No point-persons for pre-cycle coordination• Non-payment of materials by participants• Rescheduling of workshop sessions in conflict with long weekend with long legal holidays, interference with church or community-based activities• New parish priest assignments within the targeted19 venues 15 December 2012
    20. 20. CHALLENGES • Low venue turn-out due to poor follow-ups to give way for the Culmination Week with Fr. Ignacio Larranaga • Guides who got sick or had commitment concerns during the 2nd cycle. Need for local team to identify areas of opportunities with the concern guide • Perceived poor planning skills in the 2nd cycle that contributed to low attendance turnout for adult workshops and schools of20 formation 15 December 2012
    21. 21. PLANS • Pursue active promotion of PLW to nearby parishes and towns as part of National’s expansion plans • Work with school systems to make PLW not a strict requirement but a preferred spiritual activity • Initiate school of formation involving participants from other provinces such as Norzagaray, Sta. Maria and Marilao (Bulacan) • Broaden promotion efforts among PLW workshop repeaters to hold a word-of-mouth campaign for next PLW cycles • Encourage communities/ interest groups to secure sponsor for PLW workshop venues • Create a single master list for easier tracking of participants across venues (Manila) • Increase promotion thru social media sites such as facebook and website21 15 December 2012
    22. 22. PLANS • Schedule personal promotion to targeted venues of parishes • Encourage each guide to contribute at least one venue for every cycle • Open a school of formation with different guides handling a specific module • Accommodate requests for adult workshop to be initiated in Cavite and Batangas • Follow-up on letter of intent for students of the School of Formation • Collaborate with National for the22 expansion plans in the Visayas 15 December 2012
