  • 3. Sections Sections can contain numerous categories, and categories can contain numerous articles.
  • 4. New Section Create as many sections as you need. Use sections to group generally similar items together into groups.
  • 5. New Section II Sections can contain numerous categories, and categories can contain numerous articles. Give the section a title.
  • 6. Categories Use the same steps as in sections to create categories.
  • 7. Articles Articles hold the provide the content in Joomla.
  • 8. Hierarchy Section1 Category 1 Article 5 Category 2 Article 1 Article 2 Section 2 Category 3 Category 4 Article 3 Article 4 Each article is part of a Section and a Category.
  • 9. New Article Make sure each article has a title and is filed under a section and category.
  • 10. New Article II When you are done editing make sure to click save, otherwise the article will be locked for other users.
  • 11. Article List You can publish/unpublish articles without deleting them. You can also make them show up on the first page (frontpage).
  • 12. Users You can add new users (editors, admins) to the system in the User Manager
  • 13. User Manager You can change user rights and activity (enabled/disabled) in the user manager.
  • 14. New User You can create new users (Name, Email, Password) and give them different permissions or select which in language they should use Joomla.
  • 15. Menus You can create new menus and customize the current ones in the Menus Dropdown.
  • 16. Menus Section1 Category 1 Article 5 Category 2 Article 1 Article 2 Section 2 Category 3 Category 4 Article 3 Article 4 Menus can link to Articles, Categories or Sections. Menu Item 1 Menu Item 2 Menu Item 3 Backend Frontend
  • 17. Edit Menus You can publish/unpublish menu items and change their order in a menu.
  • 18. New Menu Items You can link to articles, categories and sections. Sections and Categories can chronologically show all the articles contained in that container (Blog Layout).
  • 19. Article Menu Item Select the article that the menu item should point to.
