Speaking English Podcast Media Kit 2010

  1. 1. Media kit What is the Speaking English Podcast, how many people are watching, and how you can get involved! Status: August 15th, 2010. Stats were gathered August 7th-8th 2010.
  2. 2. About the host My name is Sebastian Keil and I am the host of the Speaking English Podcast. I am 36 years old, have studied American Literature, Language and Culture, and have been blogging since 2004/5. My daytime job is consulting with an advertising agency. I live in Hamburg, Germany, with my wife, 2 kids and a cat.
  3. 3. About the show The Speaking English Podcast is a bi-weekly video podcast. Usually, I explain the difference between a pair of words that non- native speakers might easily confuse, or the correct pronunciation of each of the words.
  4. 4. About the distribution The Speaking English Podcast is distributed over the major video portals Blip.tv, YouTube, Dailymotion, Metacafe, MySpace and more. The main „feed“ for the show which you see in iTunes comes from Blip.tv, the other portals are kept behind slighty.
  5. 5. About the distribution Numbers: More than 1 (one) million video views in the last 12 months (on blip.tv alone!) Approx. 5.000 views/episode after 10 days Approx. 10.000 views/episodes after 4 weeks

  7. 7. Be part of the show Personally, I think this makes most sense. If your product is on the show, you are part of all the views it gets, no matter on what portal the video is distributed. In other words: In-Show-Sponsoring Remember: More than 1 million video views in the last 12 months

Be part of the show And I do not have a problem mentioning your excellent video camera, reference book, soft drink, software, socks or whatever product you want to sell, or even use it on screen or to produce show.* I will do it my way: your message – in my words. *Of course that is not all of it. All offers are subject to my veto. Naturally, some products may fit better than others to the program.
  9. 9. Post-roll ads Not as powerful as product placement, and less views, since not everybody watches a video til the end. If you want to advertise your product in your own, controlled surroundings, then post-roll ads are your way to go.
  10. 10. Banner ads If you are interested in booking banner ads, you should use 2.5k page visits and 5k page impressions as frame of reference.
  11. 11. Join the ride Bundles/long-term forms are of course totally negotiable. Payment through hardware, e.g. a new MacBook Pro as well. ;-) Give me a call.
