  • 1. Dogs will respond more quicklyand learn faster when you are happy and in a good mood.
  • 2. If your dog works betterwith treats, have varioustreats. If your dog worksbetter for a ball, have afew different balls.
  • 3. Dogs can get bored very easily. Keeping the training sessions short will ensure that your dog is paying attention.
  • 4. Keeping yourdog focused andattentive on youis a learningprocess for you,the trainer.
  • 5. If your dog’s attention keepswavering off, quickly call out hisname, rattle a toy, play with aball in your hand, or alert to himthat you have a treat ready forhim.
