Practical InformationFinal Conference of the Plan4all ProjectAccording to the EC Directive 2007, the Infrastructure for Spatial Information in the EuropeanCommunity (INSPIRE) has to be established in a near future in Europe.It will assist policy-making in relation to policies and activities that have a direct or indirectimpact on the environment; it is based on spatial information created by the Member States.For public and private actors, this new pan-European Spatial Data Infrastructure will havecrucial consequences on procedures and methodologies for spatial data sharing, new spatialplanning standards, regional planning and land-use planning in Europe.The first part of the Conference consists in three keynote speeches from the DGEnvironment, the Joint Research Centre and the DG Regio, and the second part will presentthe results of the EU Project funded by the eContent+ Program, which was focussing on theharmonisation of spatial planning data based on the existing best practices in EU regionsand municipalities. It involved detailed description of the current description, and proposes,tests and implements spatial planning metadata profile, common data model andharmonisation procedures on the topics of e.g. land cover, land use, utility and governmentservices, agricultural facilities, area management and risk zones.Final Conference locationDiamant Congress CentreBoulevard A.
