The first cricket club was established in 1848 named “OrientalCricket club”.Soon after cricket became a game of power, now other territory people started playing cricket in order to strength their relationships with the British.Hindu took up cricket so they could match the Parsis. First hindu club was “Bombay Union” which was established in 1866.Then in 1877, European started their own cricket clubs and started playing with Parsis. In 1833, finally Muslims started there own Muslin Cricket Club.The first Indian to play test match cricket was Ranjit Singhji .
