    26. The Role of technology guarantor
      • The assurance of continuation of support and updates of an evolving and complex technology is a key factor considered in the selection and adoption of such technologies by the consumer.
      The Role of technology guarantor
      • A University partner with its implicit ability to maintain and support a technology for the long-term lends particular added value to the commercial product supported, in that, there is an assurance that even in the event of the commercial developer going out of business there will be a credible assurance of a continuance of support and updates for the product.
      • By eliminating the possibility that a particular expensive and complex technology my be “orphaned” (become obsolete and unsupported) it is expected that the consumer may be encouraged to adopt a thus “guaranteed technology” without fear of obsolescence and assuming equal technological features the consumer may well prefer such a guaranteed product, and may be willing to pay a premium for such assurance.

    30. “ Instinct Studio is the only toolset guaranteed to be available (and updated) forever” is one of the key benefits of the relationship between UAD and IT. In that it adds value to the IT technology by leveraging its assured longevity.  It is understood that this notion applies to the general marketing of the commercial product equally well as it does to the University-branded version.
