  3. 3. Technology and change<br />The world is changing<br />Technology is being integrated into every day objects<br />Administrators of education must therefore develop long range plans that would allow for seamless integrate of technology into the classroom<br />
  4. 4. The Issue:<br />Yet many of today's administrators are limited in their knowledge of the true value and use of technology<br />Thus in order to fully and functionally integrate technology administrators need to themselves solve three problems.<br />
  5. 5. Problem 1:<br />What do administrators need to know?<br />
  6. 6. Answers:<br />At a minimum administrators need to <br />How to use word processing<br />How to use the internet<br />How to use e-mail<br />The status of technology on their campus<br />Which teachers are, or are not, using technology<br />
  7. 7. Problem 2:<br />What to administrators need to do?<br />
  8. 8. Answers:<br />Support the technology specialist<br />Reward teachers that use technology<br />Encourage teachers that are not using technology<br />Visit classrooms to see computer use<br />Take and active role in using technology<br />

  11. 11. Summary:<br />With technology rapidly changing society, so to must education adapt. Leaders of learning must embrace technology and discovery their own shortcomings in order to strengthen and secure the proper integration of technology into the realm of public education.<br />
