  4. 4. Is it real to them? Does it make them think in new ways? Do they make connections between new things? Can they take knowledge and use it for new?! Knowledge Construction
  5. 5. Is it a solid unit of work? Do they know what they will learn and what is good? Do they plan their own work? Is there a chance for feedback mid-way? Self Regulation
  6. 6. Are they solving real issues? Do they ask questions to guide research and learning? Can they generate possibilities, design, and test solutions? Do they evaluate and take action on their solution? Real World Innovation and Problem Solving
