  2. 2. Location<br />Yellowstone is located in Wyoming, Montana, and Idaho. <br />Located at high altitude.<br />
  3. 3. Size<br />Since the park extends through three states, the area is 2,219,791 acres.<br />96% is in Wyoming<br />3% is in Montana<br />1% is in Idaho<br />Larger than<br />Rhode Island and<br />Delaware combined. <br />
  4. 4. At Yellowstone you can stay in a cabin, which is located on private 21 acres, or camp on the campground.<br />The cabins are furnished with furnished kitchens, covered porches, views of three mountain ranges, fireplaces, two mountain bikes and two fishing rods.<br />Accommodations<br />
  5. 5. Animals<br />There are many animals that are native to the Yellowstone are, these include; bears, American bison, bighorn sheep, bobcats, Canadian lynx, coyotes, elk, moose, mountain goats, mountain lions, mule deer, white tailed deer, grey wolf, birds, fish, amphibians and reptiles.<br />
  6. 6. Special features<br />The park includes 60% of the worlds total geysers, and includes many hot springs and pools.<br />“Old Faithful” is the most famous geyser because it erupts so frequently. <br />Yellowstone is also home to<br /> many mud pots.<br />Grand Canyon of Yellowstone.<br />

  9. 9. Plants<br />There are 1,350 species of vascular plants.<br />218 of the species are non native.<br />Because of the high altitude many plants aren’t able to grow there.<br />Coniferous and Fir trees are the most common trees.<br />

  11. 11. Facts<br />Yellowstone was established on <br /> March 1, 1872.<br />Ulysses S. Grant signed it into law.<br />It was the first national park in the world.<br />The park received its name from the Yellowstone river flowing through the park.<br />There are five park entrances.<br />
